No Parking Any Time: Signpost Series #3

Picture
In Choke Canyon State Park (Texas) we found this Great Egret hanging about in the parking lot. Now, birds aren't just going to hang around a parking lot so there had to be a reason.  It took us a while to figure out it was there because there was a fish cleaning station - no fish, no people just a memory and wishful thinking.
Size: 11x14 with frame                                                                               Cost:200.00
The Signpost Series
Initially, I chose to draw the Loggerhead Shrike with the High Voltage sign because the textures in the image were a challenge.  There aren't that many opportunities to combine wood, metal and feathers.  While I was working on the picture I started thinking about birds in urban settings and how I might be able to feature signage in some of the drawings I did.  The Signpost Series is the result and I hope you enjoy them.
