When we first came to British Columbia we drove through the mountains and alongside the Fraser River. At some point an eagle flew over the car. I spent the next hour running all over the countryside trying to take pictures of this bald eagle, while Erie sat very patiently and watched. When we arrived in Victoria, I discovered eagles were pretty much all over the place. We have a park about 15 minutes from where we live (Goldstream Park) that has a large salmon run annually and last year when the eagles arrived at the end of the run they counted 158 of them. I still run after them.
