Blue Footed Boobies (the mating dance)

Blue Footed Boobies are marine birds native to subtropical and tropical regions of the eastern Pacific Ocean. They have captivated humans for decades and are easily recognizable by their distinctive bright blue feet. The blue colour varies in its intensity and Boobies with bluer feet appear to have more success mating. The males display their feet in an elaborate mating ritual by lifting them up and down withle strutting before the female. We were lucky to see this fascinating and hilarious display in The Galapagos Islands.
