Belted Kingfisher 2016

This Belted Kingfisher is the second one that I have completed. This time, however it was seen in Costa Rica on a morning guided canoe ride on a huge estuary near Playa Grande. I love the agility and tenacity of these birds as they watch and wait for their next meal, then dive down to scoop it up. The hair do is very punk rockish
